My Quasar Combination TV-VCR model #VV-2002,manufactured in March 2002,has no sound,but records picture.I have tried a dry head cleaner,but it hasn`t worked.What else could be wrong with it? I have taken a tape that has been recoeded on another recorder and played it in it,and it plays the sound.It is only when it records anything that I have no sound.

either the connection to the record head has come off or the heads had it the sound head has 2 parts record and playback if it plays okay then its the record part .also try a wet head cleaner cos dry just wont cut it with sound head contamination..
