HOW TO FIX THE SOUND ON MY COMPUTER?

i HAVE NO SOUND ON MY COMPUTER AND A FRIEND SAID I NEED A NEW SOUND CARD. HOW DO I FIX THIS?

Tony is Right you should just get a new driver from your windows (or Mac) Disk!!!!

Hi, before you buy a new sound card, click on control panel from the start button, then click on "sounds, speech & audio devices", then on "sounds, & audio devices" and make sure the "mute" box hasn't been ticked and then right click on the "speaker" symbol on the lower tool bar select "open volume control" and make sure all the sliders are at the max setting and none of the "mute" box's are ticked.
