i cannot sort my programmes into favourties as there are no programmes in the profile editor section. i have tried panasonic uk but cannot find a download, is it wise to install an update downloaded from the us site for a TH-42PX60U

Software finally received (Nov 2009)

They sent me an SD card with a PCMCIA type converter - Put this into CAM slot in back of tv, and switch the power on. Let me know if there are any problems...

Not sure which model I have, 42" one though. Profile edit stopped working (again after a program refresh). I think it failed to complete the refresh a couple of times before that, maybe it just can't handle the number of channels trying to sell me crap? I'll email, and ask about a s/w update. Will post again if I get anywhere.

I have a TX-28DTM1 which also lost the abilty to profile edit after an August 2008 rescan. I immediately emailed customer services to be told "I am pleased to inform you that there is software update, together with instructions, to resolve the Profile Editor phenomenon. When one becomes available I will send you one". Despite sending a reminder to them in October 2008 (which was acknowledged) I'm still waiting! I've just fired another email off to Panasonic.

I have a TX-26LXD50 with same problem following a re-tune recently. I suspect this is a problem with the profile table size allocated as if you interrupt the re-tune before all channels are scanned the profile editor works. I notice there was a significant increase (90) channels now found and panasonic may not have allowed for this number in their profile software. I have raised call with panasonic for upgrade.

It is unlikely to be a software problem as you would not be alone and Panasonic would have fixed it with a refresh. DO NOT use the US software!

I would be inclined to look more carefully at the User Guied or if that fails contact Panasonic.
