my battery operated wall clock hands won't move?

Hello,
I cleaned the hub with air and then put WD-40 on the hub (just a little) and the hands still won't move.

(1) Check whether any dirt in between the plastic gears of the clock mechamism. This you have to carefully open the cover of the clock mechanism. Made sure you know how to fix it back all those gears. (2) If all the gears are alright, then probably the small capacitor in it is faulty. Locate the capacitor near the coil.

have you replaced the battery with a new one, now watch inside the workings for the cogs to move
