Problem with Hotpoint Aquarius WF740!!?

I've got a Hotpoint Aquarius WF740. It seems to stop during it's rinse/spin cycle showing the fault F-05. Could this be something to do with the water not getting out of the machine??

Very much the same problem with a slight difference; we were on holiday for two weeks and came back to find the washer giving flashing F-05.
Consulted the instructions and no clue as to what F05 was so tried to re-run the wash to no avail F-05 again then over to tinternet and found this, thanks very much for your answer sk.
Tested the drain (put the hosepipe down it) and it was fine but we still had a washer full of washing. Took the out-flow pipe to its lowest point into a washing up bowl and bucket, it took a few bowls to empty just by syphon action. This proved that the out-flow pipe was not blocked.
When it was empty checked the little filter on the front bottom right (there will be water get a cooking tray and mops ready) found a small piece of silver foil but otherwise was clear, screwed the filter back on.
Then put the washer on rinse and spin program and waited for the water to come out into the bucket and bowls.
Then low and behold the pump kicks in and as I'm writing this the program has just finished with no problems. I've put it on for another rinse cycle to make sure.

My theory is this: two weeks of rest for the washing machine may have left fluff dried out in the pump seizing it up; by syphoning off the water either washed the fluff out or made it wet enough to let the pump do it's job.
Simple answer to stop it happening in future - get someone in to do the washing while you are away ;-)

Fault code F05 relates to a drain off problem. It could be a blockage, or a problem with the pump.Get hold of a basin. Remove the drain hose from it's pipe or from the push on fitting under the sink and, keeping it high, bring it out so you can work with it. Put the end in the basin and lower it to ground level, if its clear the water should flow pretty freely from the hose. If you get nothing try cleaning the end of the hose as best you can then cover it with some kitchen roll, or similar, poke a hole in the middle and give a quick almighty blow into the pipe,(remember, blow, don,t suck...) :-), you will feel a resistance then you should hear the air gurgling through the water in the drum. Put the hose in the basin and try again, if the water now flows from the pipe then you have a blockage and you're going to have to check and clean out the filter and hoses etc. If you decide there's no blockage then you need to check the pump. They are pretty simple little pumps and easy to remove so i usually just pull them off the machine to check them, its normally only a case of a couple of screws, pulling of the hoses and disconnecting the wiring, make sure you have drained down the machine first and have your basin and some towels ready, also make sure you take note of where everything goes so you can get it back together again. Inside the pump there is a little impellor that spins and pumps the water, these can get jammed by some object or they can come off the motor shaft. If its jammed then clear it, if its came off the shaft then get a new pump. Iv'e refitted the impellor and it's worked o.k. for a while, but it always comes off again. Finally i usually wire up the pump on the bench, power it up and make sure it's running o.k. before i refit it, but if you are even the slightest bit uneasy about doing that then don't, it's 240V and you need to be carefull. Get a spark to test that the pump is working o.k. There could be another reason for your machine failing to get rid of the water, no power to the pump for example, but iv'e found that 99% of the time the failure is down to one of the above two faults. Oh, one other thing, if your drain hose is connected to one of those push on fittings under the sink, then just check and make sure that there is no blockage at that point. Hope this helps.
