How can I fix my Hotpoint rangehood microwave Model RVM1335WC 001?

My Hotpoint over the range hood microwave oven heats fine, the display is fine, but the lights underneath as well as the hood fan do not work anymore. We heard a loud "pop" when the lights were on which scared us. The lights went out and we found out the fan is inoperable now too. The fan for the microwave still works, just not the range hood one. Is this something worth fixing, or would it be better to replace the thing?

We have the exact same problem as well. Same pop, same problem. We tried replacing the fuse but didn't work. Some of the other parts are around 45.00 so we are contemplating the same thing. Good luck and keep us posted.

Dear Eric,
Have you had any success getting this fixed? I have the same problem with my identical-model oven, with just the lights. The exhaust fan still works. Both lamps are fine--I think a relay or a computer circuit is broken, but I haven't found any way to test or troubleshoot.

Good luck!
