Iron burned my pant was to hot. pants is made of 50%polyester and 50% rayon

No matter what method you try, your pants are ruined anyways, so it couldn't hurt. I suggest using a propane torch to set it on fire and put it on your neighbors door step. Wont help your pants any, but it'd make for a good laugh.

I tried the sandpaper trick and it worked! But be very careful to use fine sandpaper or you will damage the fabric.

use a very fine piece of sand paper(dark clothes) 200grid or higher gently scrub the area, the shine comes off dont scrub to hard

Treat the burn with stain remover.Scrub the burn mark.fill the sink with cold water,washing powder & bleach.Mix the water really well, leave in sink for 20 minutes.Scrub it again & rinse. Put in the wash, then dry it. I found this on the web at www.ehow.com, my wife is just about to try it on her pants.
