Left clicking my mouse doesn't always open files, right clicking and open does most of the time, can anyone help? thanks steve.

Not trying to insult your inteeligence but u are DOUBLE clicking arnt u?. If u are then u may have your click setting up quite high.
Go to Start, Control Panel, Mouse and then change the double click speed to a slower setting.
