How do I recover a .bin file that's missing?

I have been trying to do an update scan on my AVG. It says there is a .bin file missing. What do I do?

It might just be AVG at their end with a bad update. Simply wait and try again in a couple of days. If the missing .bin file *is* down to AVG's update, reinstalling won't cure it.

Possibly downloading & installing the manual update file from AVG http://free.avg.com/ww.download-update might get round it.

If I'm wrong & the missing .bin file is not caused by AVG update, Chris F's reload is probably the way to go.

Download the program again, save it to a location on your hard drive, re-install and update.
