i have an old hitachi tv and my tv has just lost all colour i cant change the colour settings and the volume does not go all the way up, ive tried pressing different buttons for hours ,any ideas how to fix this?

hi micheal, its black and its one of the old colour tv's, and excpet for loss of colour the sound can be heard clearly. The volume button is on both Tv and remote control, the sound is clear, i cant tune in any channels either, i dnt know how to do it because i havent got a manual or nothing for it

Hi Aima,

This sounds like 2 Faults

1. You can't get full Volume
2. No Colour.

It would be helpful if you know the model number of the TV set and colour of the Cabinet.

Is the Cabinet black or teak wooden effect?

If you have lost all colour, this maybe the Crystal or the delay line?

Is the picture on your set ok except loss of colour?

What buttons do you press to turn the volume up and down?
Is it on a remote control?
or the front of your tv set or both?

If it is both! do you still get low volume?

Do you get a background noise over the sound or is the sound clear?
