Hello and Thanks you your input on this matter. I have A 32" Sony trinitron TV that is about 8yrs old. Just the other day the screen went black. I went inside it and begin unplugging all the circuitry boards and begin plugging them back up and place back cover back on. I turned on the TV and the picture was back as if it were a new TV. About 12 hrs later it happen again. I removed the back cover and again I did the same steps and again it only lated about 12 hrs. before the screen went black. Can this be the tube or maybe a circuitry board?

Sounds just like my KV32S40, the picture colapsed to the top of the screen and dissapeared. Your KV27V26 should use the same chassis mine does (AA-2D). Thru some research and some hacking on my own I managed to fix my set (so far) by doing the following. Gently lay the set on its screen (on something soft of course) and remove the 14 or so screws that hold the back on (take care not to miss the three near the RCA connectors on the back). Lift the back off. The problem lies on the large board directly under the picture tube. You can slide this board out (within the length of the wires). Look near the center of the board, in an area marked V-out (verticle output). There are a couple of resistors and caps and one 7 pin IC that were so poorly soldered on my set I'm surprized it ever worked! After carefully resoldering this area, I have had no further problems with the set. Be warned though - do not touch the large red wire or anything near either end - the picture tube holds a pretty good charge (20K volts or more) which could kill you.
