Diplomat 8512?

There is a leak coming from below the front panel of the machine. It's not from the door itself. There is considerable perishing of the rubber seal around the drum behind the door. If the rubber is aged would it leak as mentioned and is this something a layman could normally replace?

Hi Louis, it is quite possible that it is the door seal. As with all simple looking jobs, this is very fiddly with glueing involved.It is a job a layman can do but with a lot of patience.There are a couple of models of this machine but it looks like the same seal. Part no. 404001000 and they are £21 plus postage average.Hope this helps, All the best.
