How to replace carbon brushes on Bosch WFK2801?

Could someone give me a short DIY guide on how to replace the carbon brushes on a Bosch WFK2801 washing machine? Thanks.

just to say that on another forum a chap said he turned the machine on its side , removed the base plate, and got to the brushes without having to take the motor out. Well, leaving aside that you shouldn't do this -no travel bolts in place- my wfk2801 here in the UK has the base plate riveted on rather than fitted with screws or bolts

You will also need to undo the nut fixing the belt wheel and then gradually slide the wheel off. Then the motor can freely rotate to slide off its holding bolt. You might also need to cut one or two cable ties in order to give you enough freedom to manoeuvre (but take care to tie up again).

Uplug the machine!
remove the back
remove the motor (two bolts, unplug connector and earth first)
brushes are held in by two screws each, unplug the connector first.
replace brushes and then reverse procedure to re-install
