Can Uk PS3 consoles play games inported fro the USA and movies that are stated region free?(or no A,B or C code on the back) cheers I'm a newbee !!

Yes. I have bought games from the US and they work fine on UK PS3. I have a HDTV. I am not sure whether they will work if you have not got a HDTV with the differences between PAL & NTSC.

I have not tried region free movies.
