My heater blows out cold air but not hot air, what could be the problem? I have been told it could be one of two things plaese could you help .

Hi i had the same problem, the heater valve has failed. You will need a new one cost me £26 from ford parts office. Ford will charge u alot to change it bc it is tricky to get to. howver i changed my own using the haynes manual. Took 4hrs but was really pleased when heat started coming out. so get the part and the manual and your sorted. quite an easy job just took me longer bc id not done anything with a car before.

hi - I have a 56 reg Ka, and I had the opposite...heater was stuck on HOT. Took to Ford and it was the heater cable that had failed (these are electronic on new ones, think they are manually controlled on old ones). Hope this helps.
