MY BREVILLE KETTLE (JK80 SPECTRA) HAS LEAKED SINCE APPROX 4 MONTHS OLD. I HAVE 2 FRIENDS WHO HAVE SUFFERED THE SAME PROBLEM. IS THIS A WELL-KNOWN COMMON FAULT WITH BREVILLE KETTLES? THEY AREN'T THE CHEAPEST TO BUY SO I'M RELUCTANT TO REPLACE IT SO SOON. IS THERE SOMETHING I CAN DO TO FIX THIS PROBLEM?
I have two of their kettles, both leaking and both just out of their 12 month ‘built in obsolescence’ guarantee. NEVER AGAIN. They are just not interested

We have a BREVILLE CLASSIQUE kettle which has leaked almost from new - surely a safety issue. Today discovered that the problem is the seal around the transparent "window" on the kettle where you can see the water level. Am going to try to remove and refit but this looks quite difficult. But might try superglue in the joint.

My Breville kettle is leaking and Breville said that there is nothing they can do about it

Change the filter. Take out the filter from the spout, if this fixes the leaking when pouring problem buy a new filter for less than £10 on ebay and descale more regularly in future.

My Breville spectre is leaking too ! I will never buy breville again ! I thought they were reliable. Surely this is a dangerous fault

My kettle has also been leaking for a few months, but we thought it was because we were filling it from a filter jug and missing! It is only because the leak has suddenly become much worse that we have realised what is going on. It is just out of guarantee with Comet, but I feel like taking it back. Otherwise I am thinking of sending it back to Breville to try a for replacement (free) but so far can't find the address.
