why do some coped dvd play in my player fine and others just pause up all the time they play fine in my pc. is this my dvd player

The answer might be as simple as " Your DVD Player just doesn't like some discs". For example, my RCA DVD player doesn't like DVD-R media, but it plays perfectly DVD+R and DVD+RW media. On the PC usually everything plays. I hope this info could help :-)

I am not an expert, but I have had the same problem with a dvd of Only Fools and Horses from Ebay, which is all the specials ie Gulf War, White Mice, Abbey National advert, Comic Relief.
Dvd's are recorded in mpeg 1,2,3 or 4 and you have to convert the item to whichever your machine will play. 2, I think.
Not very knowlegable, stumbling along.......
