unable to stop the test cycle, tried holding down the on-off and start-cancel buttons but no luck. Any more suggestions

Display shows F 05 and sometimes changes to F 04.We cannot open the machine.Have tried to run various programmes with the same result.

How to get rid of test mode


Not sure if you have solved this already, but for anyone else who has this problem and cannot contact Hotpoint here's the solution.

Stop the "TEST" cycle by holding down the "START/CANCEL" Button. ("Test" should disappear off the display)
Then hold down "START/CANCEL" & "ON/OFF" at the same time for a few seconds. The message "d:Off" should appear in the display. Everything should work now.
