How can I recover pictures off defective memory stick?

I have a memory stick with error 13:09 flashing. I've been told that the stick is empty, although I know I have over 100 pictures on it. I know the FBI could retrieve the pictures if they wanted to, so how can I? Many are from my daughter's wedding. Thanks!! (My camera is Sony cybershot; it's a Lexmark memory stick)

PC Inspector Smart Recovery will also recover pictures. Website is www.convar.de.

Hi I used a free programme called pci_filerecovery, I don't know if it is still available. If you have trouble finding it on the internet, I could email you a copy.
My email is jc-weddings@tiscali.co.uk
