Can I replace a worcester 28i junior mechanical timer myself?

The timer has broken on our boiler. It doesn't turn around anymore during the day and stays in one position. Typical as our warranty ran out on 1st Aug!

I was wondering if i buy a timer, is it possible and easy enough to put in myself?
Also does anyone know how?

Many thanks.

Hi yes it is a greenstar junior.

I tried ringing worcester, but they wouldn't honour it even though we have only used it for 1 year and it was sat doing nothing in an empty house for the first year of warranty!

Well is it any more difficult than wiring a light socket/switch? How do you pry out the old unit?

Thanks, Emma

Is this the Greenstar I junior?

It's not terribly difficult to change them if you are sensible with electricity.

In fact if you call Worcester and are reeeallly nice to them, they may still honour the warranty cos it's only a month or so out.
