bathroom light and switch?

I have bought a new light fitting and tried to fit it, it has 3 terminals marked on the light fitting, live earth and neutral, but there are 2 cables from the ceiling, 2 red, 2 black and 2 earth i have tried many combinations but i can get them to stay on but not turn off

It is actually quite easy to do if you know how, but since you don't seem to have a clue on how dangerous it is,
all i can suggest is

Not only are you risking life as you obviously do not have a clue, in the UK what you are doing may be illegal as you are working on electricity in a bathroom and you are obviously not a "Competent Person", within the meaning of Building Regs.

With all your combinations you are lucky you haven't electrocuted yourself. I hang my head in disbelieve at the number of *di*ts who mess with electricity when they don't have a clue. Spend a few quid and get an electrician to do it. It might just save your life!!!!!!!!!
