how do i repower my panasonic ag tl300 vcr after power loss?

the vcr has power going in, i can hear a clicking sound like a watch. but the time etc doesn't display on the front panel & it won't accept a tape. i'm sure their is a procedure to folllow but i can't find instructions to follow anywhere. the power loss was only for 5 hrs.
any help appreciated, thanks.
regards,
paul.

Those symptoms are often due to leaky capacitors in the regulated power supply circuit.
