boiler pressure gauge is too high?

The pressure gauge on my puma 80e is above the red line at over 3 bar, how do i get it down to two bar level. also what are the implications of this high pressure.

Take a rag and a bleed key and release some water from a rad until pressure drops to recomended level in handbook. High pressure causes a strain on the system and if it rises to high your boiler should start to release water through the pressure relaease valve (at least thats what mine kept doing!) Hope that helps
