Central heating causes pressure rise sharply -PRV then operates- whats wron?

Have a Worcester 24i Jun. HW works fine but when CH is on the pressure goes from 1.2 bar to over 3.5 then PRV kicks in. Thsi all happens within about 15 seconds of CH being turned on. What could be the problem?- Is it expensive?!!!

check the valves under boiler are open (slot should be in line with length of valve). please be careful if you have to turn the valve-s on because they are cr*p and tend to leak where the slot is.

knackered pump would be my first thought, take screw disc out front of pump when boiler is isolated from electric and see, using a screw driver, if pump spins freely.
