The pressure on my boiler (Worcester Greenstar 25Si) is zero?

After bleeding radiators the pressure on the boiler is zero and the boiler is making lots of noises. Should i turn it off? How do i get pressure up? Is it something i can do or will i need a plumber?

Hi, I have this problem too. How long should it take for the pressure to go up? Seems to take a lot longer than it does in demo videos I've seen.
Should the needle begin to move right away?

Hey Big Rik thanks for the laymans terms a simpleton like I could understand, very helpful.

Big Rick - thanks, your instructions were perfect. I've just raised the pressure on my boiler without a problem.

Hi Going to put this in complete laymans terms... OK, If the heating's on, turn it off. Then insert the plastic valve key into hole underneath the boiler (on the collar of said hole are two symbols, closed padlock and open padlock) put it in so that the arrows on the key correspond to the open padlock. push the key right in (the second seal on the key will go a good 10mm deeper than the hole surround) and turn it anti clockwise to the closed padlock symbol. That's all you need to do with the key, next to where you have inserted the key is a plastic square topped screw, turn that a little bit anti clock-wise and you will hear the water pressurising the system, let it fill to about 1 bar then close it off again, bleed the radiators again and if needed fill the system a little more again (repeat what you have just done). Hope this is a little more help then the other useless answers :)

Can i download a copy of the makers instructions for a 25si as I am having problems with pressure dropping?

Billy, June 2009
turn it off open the valves on the filling loop repressurise from the mains supply up to the recomended setting usually around 2 bar .close both valves on the filling loop and it will then be ok to restart. the knocking noise is because you have lost the water when you bled the system.

Remove the bottom panel attached inside is a plastic key used for refilling

turn it off check for leaks may be a number of things most likely safety valve passing .you will have to open the valves on the filling loop .pressurise upto 2 bar shut valves on filling loop.re start boiler.
