Fisher Paykel Smartdrive 5.5 kg fails to spin?

After dismantling, cleaning and rebuilding my Fisher Paykel Smartdrive 5.5 kg it now won't progress to spin. The pump keeps spinning, and the bowl "jerks" back and forth (both normal actions). Have tired spinning the bowl manually in both directions whilst jerking to see if it would start the spinning cycle.
The bowl has a sight resistence to spin due to cogging.

The Bowl spins freely when lifted and re-engages to the drive cog. The spin cycle only works if I help it. I managed to get the spin cycle activated each time when helping it to jerk backwards and forwards about 90 degrees in each direction. I have not tried a full cycle yet. I have renewed the bearings and lipseal which may extra resistance. I had noticed that some water in the bowl's float. Have you any further help for me?

When full with water the inner bowl floats up & this disengages the drive cog for the inner bowl. After the water drains out the control module makes the bowl jerk to make sure the bowl drive cog has re-engaged before spinning. With the bowl empty, grip the inner bowl on either side & pull up. Bowl should slide upwards easily & by turning you will feel it is free. Let it go & check that it slides right back down & you should feel it engage. E-mail me if you still have a problem.
