Oh, by the way, there may be more than one code under your brand. If that is the case, try them all, as some may not work and some may have the buttons the wrong way round or whatever.

Well, firstly, if the remote you're trying to set up is a universal remote (one that works with loads of brands) then it should come with a little booklet or instruction manual with loads of different manufacturers codes. Just find the one(s) for your tv and follow the instructions. This usually involves holding down a setup button and typing in the code or something like that. If it's not a universal remote, then, quite simply, you can't use it with yout tv.
