my 6 year old set a passcode in his Matsui TVR185 ??
now we cant get it to start becausehe can't remember it.
Is there a default setting to restore

This works on some Matsui models (inc. TVR180). I don't know if the TVR185 uses a different method.

1) Enter any password - three times - until it says 'protected'.
2) Quickly, (otherwise TV will switch into standby)... Hold 'Volume Down' on TV and while it's held down press 'Button 7' on the remote control.

If it works, you will then be able to reset your password.
If it switches to standby during procedure, switch off/on at mains and try again.
