My water keeps going cold?

Im having a problem with the water, you can get shower and its hot, within seconds its freezng cold again, if you wait a few mins it goes hot again and then cold again! Same with kitchen and bathroom taps.Ive checked the pressure and the line keeps going below the green, I know how to change it into the greenand keep doing this, but it keeps dropping and heating is only luke warm. What should I do? Ive recently had it serviced. Alpha 240 eco.

Hi Debbie,

Problem with your water? Sounds painful.... ;o)

But seriously, it sounds like there could be a trapped air bubble in your system somewhere. Could have been added when you had it serviced. Have you noticed any 'clunking' noises as the water temp changes??

Suggest tryign bleeding your radiators, then tie the ball cock up in the header tank (usually is either in the attick next to the larger water tank) to your hot water system so that no more cold water can go into the boiler to heat. Then, drain your hot water through the lowest tap (probably the kitchen) so that the whole system is empty. Then turn the tap off when the water stops and release the ball cock in the header tank, but be careful to release the water gradually to avoid making any more air bubbles in the system.

Hope this helps??
