our baxi bermuda back boiler is making our water and radiators boiling hot?

Our baxi bermuda back boiler is making the hot water and radiators boiling hot, also if we put the firefront on 4 when the back boiler is working the fire will go out. Works fine on no2 though. Our corgi registered gas man has changed the valve on the boiler but has made no difference. He has now drawn a blank any ideas?

Sorry i didnt get back to you.It definitely sounds like your boiler t/stat was faulty. Was this the case

Thank you very much for your advice. The meter has been checked by transco and is fine. Where would we find the boiler thermostat. We also noticed last night that turning the boiler control from low to high does not seem to have any effect on the flames in the boiler although they can't be seen that well through the little window. But the flames do go out when it's switched to 0.

If things are way too hot then the boiler t/stat appears faulty, but It may be worthwhile giving Transco a call to check the governor on the meter hasnt locked up giving too much pressure to your appliances. This will be a free visit as the meter and governor is their responsibility.
