Washing machine hose not long enough?

I have looked and can't find a hose long enough to connect to the waste pipe. How difficult is it to extend the waste pipe? What would I need?

I had this problem as the place for the machine was a long way from the sink and drains.

I was advised by the company who I rent my washing machine from to get an extension for the hose. I found a local shop who stocked this sort of thing they were able to provide me with a hose which is plenty long enough and it fitted over the end of the hose that came out of the back of the machine. I hold it in place with a "dubi clip" hope thats the right word one of those fasteners that is circular and as you screw it tightens on the hose.

Anyway touch wood it works fine and hooks over the sink when I have the machine on. There is no way It can be put behind the kitchen fittings and I never have the machine on if I am out of the house.
