Can you make a copy?
If so, try to receive a fax manually, that is, when the fax rings pick up the receiver and listen for the typical 'chirping'.
When you hear these tones, press the 'Start' button on your fax machine.
It should start receiving.
Other than that, you may have a problem with your fax machine.
