i have a vokera maxin 24e works fine during summer but once the boiler gets really cold in winter- it locks out on first use in morning--on resetting it will work fine all day-cme april -may it will work fine again--thinking of fitting a 60 watt heater in boiler cupboard for winter use--anybody any ideas--

hi iain last 2 mornings i put a small fan heater in the boiler cupboard left it on for 5 minutes. the boiler has fired up ok--several people on our estate have the same problem-- they leave their heating all night- i think i will go for the tubular heater and see what happens many thanks for your reply and time regards john

hi iain fitted new sensor units in may and repositioned to face burner row 2 this solved the problem right through the summer- started playing up beggining oct so fitted two new sensors went ok for a week then started playing up again.will reinspect burner as suggested many thanks

they have a flame rec probe on very far burner run and for some reason, they dont light up properly on edge of burner and generally is a first thing in the morning problem. you can unscrew the probe and spin it so it points to row 2 instead which generally works. maybe burner needs a clean out or suffers from slight condensation or something. dont know but know that spinning sensor works
