DVDs not working from Computer since it was at the repair shop?

I tried to watch my DVD but it would not come thru on the computer screen.My computer is a Compac Presario,Windows XP, #sr1224nx.
It worked before It went to the repair shop. It might be just a minor thing and I am not sure Where I am going with this.

Take it back and get the Computer shop to fix it on the basis that: they broke it - they fix it.

Take the side panel off and look at the back of the DVD device - you may have a cable adrift or only partially inserted. There should be a signal cable and a power cable going into the back of the DVD. Easy fix in 5 minutes may work - who knows...
