Is there such a thing as a cover for a chimney?

I am changing from having a Gas living flame fire in my living room to an Electric Wall Fire, and wish to stop rain, draughts etc. coming down mt chimney. I want to know if there is some way of blocking off my chimney.

yes there is charles what you want is a vented pot, that sits within the existing chimney pot, or you can take the chimney pot down, cover the hole with slate and flaunch it over with marine sand and cement. the first option is better as it ventilates the property, but keeps draughts out.
