tripped switch, now light won't work?

A bulb in our 5 bulb ceiling light went, tripping a fuse in the fuseboard.
9Its been working with no problems for 1 year)

Reset fuse, replaced bulb but now light won't work. Its on a dimmer switch.

What could the problem be?

All the lights won't work so will change the dimmer switch.

If the other lights still work the feed wires to the bulb in queston must have a short, burnt out.

the whole light wont work?

then definitely will be the dimmer switch has surged and burnt out- replace in 5 mins and will work.

If the other 4 bulbs are working and the 5th is not then check the bulb again or the terminals have not scorched or become damaged.
