whistling boiler?

i have an ariston euro combi boiler that keeps whistling quite loud every so often what could be the cause?

It could be something called kettling which is caused when the boiler has a build up of deposits in it-more common in hard water areas. It could be something else like a pump making the noise. Get a plumber to have a listen.
