I cannot view Photo cd's with this recorder. Would it work if I record directly from a digital camera or by producing my own cd's. Thanks in anticipation.

My Panasonic recorder DMRE55EB will not release the disc and self check appears constantly. Hope you can provide information on how to resolve this problem

I'll have to verify that. It may be that JPEG can only be read by those with SD card readers, on the new models too.

I don't believe so, it just doesn't support those formats.

A very long winded solution...
Borrow or buy a cheap DVD player that does (many cheap ones do), then run a slideshow from it while copying to your DMRE55 on a DVD-RAM, then split the copy into individual chapters for each picture.

(PS. On the earlier Panasonic models, only those with an integrated SD card reader supported JPEG, while the current Panasonic models all support JPEG.)
