how can i fix my carriage/ anniversary clock?

After being repaired, my carriage/anniversary clock ran perfectly. However it has now stopped and when I try to restart it, it runs for just a few minutes. I have been told that the problem is because the "tick and tock" are not equal! If this is the case how do I correct this?

sorry i was haveing a blond moment, is this a 400 day clock with spinning balls on the bottom? if so its basicley the same and you can see the pallets acting on the escape wheel and to adjust you move the balls about one 360 deg turn never turn them more but they can be so hard to get justt right i had one that took two months of fiddleing to get 100%

its called setting the clock in beat do a serch online and you should get good advise with pics.
sit the clock on a level surface and move the pendelum to one side (left or right) from its resting point and lisen for the tick. lets say the pendulam moved 30mm to the right and then ticked, then move it to the other side and lisen, lets say it moved 20mm from the pendulams resting point. we now have to make this spaceing the same on both sides.
ok now the tricky bit we have to gentlyyy push the pendulam rod to the left as far as it will go as we are trying to move the pallets on top of it slightly. now do the first test again and see if the spaceing has changed, if you move it the wrong way the spaceing will change from 30mm to say 40mm on the right. hope this helps.
