how do i format my hard drive using windows xp?

if you boot from an xp disk and start going through the setup it will ask you about deleting partitions which you may want to do then ask you to create a partition which it will then format in what ever you want fat32, ntfs etc.

Remeber that deleting a partition or formating will destory any data on the disk so take care.

Look on EBay for a windows disk recovery/utility disk (about £7-£10 - type 'format hard drive' in the search bar). I purchased one a while back and it saved my life! You will also be able to format a hard drive with the disk and re-install your XP software (you must have the original LICENSED disk as you will be asked for the License number when installing.
Hope this helps.
