there two guides one th entry guide to your left and near the head when the tape is loaded...and the other th exit guide directly opposite to your right of head..these have (-) type grooves on them.. well if your pix is jittering adjust the entry guides on the left... and if the tracking (noise ) is present at the down of pix adjust the exit guides... but then you have to readjust the Control and Audio heads... and mind to you need a goo tape to be played back 9one which is recorded on a good machine) to adjust these... or a scope would give you the precise levels of the RF envelop shapes...
