help me please..i have a problem with the green and purple port holes in the back of my tower when my keyboard and mouse are connected they will not work so what i did is bought a keyboard and mouse two go in a ps2 4 way port but what happens is..when i switch on my computor is it starts up then stalls before it gets to the welcome screen the only way i can get into it is by connecting my old keyboard into the purple mouse hole an pressing esc. and delete together lots of times .....then it starts properly but i have to do this every time i turn on the computor...can anyone help me please im at my wits end......

A bit confused by your description "a keyboard and mouse two go in a ps2 4 way port " I think you mean a usb 4 way port. firstly try plugging the mouse/keyboard - usb connector straight to the usb connector on the computer, if that doesnt work you may have to check your computer bios settings to see if it has usb enabled so that it can recognise the keyboard and mouse on boot up, if there are no options you may have to consider a new motherboard.
