how do i fix L button on ds lite?

my daughters L button does not work.it does not spring back.

Probably a bit late, Terry, but you just blow through it hard, and the best method is to make a perfect seal with your lips around the 'L' button and blow as hard as you can.

No wind up, just give it a blast and see if it works. :)
