PC rebooting itself at shutdown?

What is wrong with my pc? When I shutdown windows, it does not "save setting" as it should but blacks out and reboots itself all over again. Then active desktop recovery screen appears. What is wrong and how to rectify this?

Hi Jamie It sounds like you could have virus, run system restore ( press the windows key and F1 together ) click on system restore and choose a date on the calender to restore your computer too, if this does not work run your virus checker if it finds a virus visit the grisoft web site they have a virus removal program to download
