is it a quality thing ?

I am having trouble with ny mikomi 15 inch lcd tv,
bought at Argos ,,ONLY £195 in FEb 06
its for bedroom use, so little used,
its a stange problem, suddenly, the menu has changed to Italian, and the remote functions are not allowing me entry to rectify,
cant do a thing with it,
ALL the stations are OK, but cant alter volume, but it will change with the the buttons on the back of set,
channels up + down OK with remote,
but no control at all for picture brightness and colour,
any ideas on this one, like all you others, Argos being no help,
crasher,, December 2008
Which? reckon that modern TVs should last at least five years. They go on to say the if a TV packs up within that time it almost certainly had a manufacturing fault and so should be fixed under the Sale of Goods Act. Remember the Argos Warranty is in ADDITION to your rights under the Sale of Goods Act.

As Mikomi is an Argos Own Brand I would write to Argos, demanding that they put the TV right or you will take them to the Small Claims Court. Tell them that you give them 28 days and then file in the court.
