Battery problem on Advent MP82?

My husband changed the battery settings to rechargable on our Advent MP82 camera, now the camera will not accept any kind of battery and will not allow any changes. When it is switched on it says to change batteries. Any solution to this?

Advent MP82 have serious software problems.It's impossible to fix it. That's why is so cheap! If you want a good camera ,try something else...
