hi. i have kenmore extra capacity plus bought 13 yrs ago. it was in the middle of washing when it just stopped working. it won't do anything or turn back on. i think it was overloaded so i took some clothes out & doesn't do anything still. my husband said it might be the motor broke. is there a way to fix this thing? it's filled w/ water. as well. pls help. thnx.

You really need to post a full model number cause there are many models of "plus" If it has an off balance switch try lifting the lid, taking the agitator and move it from the front to the rear of the machine a couple of times forcefully to reset that switch....if this is the model which has that switch. Also check the outlet that it is plugged into by taking a working lamp and plugging that lamp into that outlet. If the lamp does not come on check the circuit breakers or the outlet.
