my miele premier novo washing machine is showing no power. I have checked the fuse in the fused socket and it is fine. I disconnected from the fused socket, rewired into a plug and plugged into a standard socket but there is still no power - no response to the on/off button

Power off and disconnect machine. First check the plug fuse and mains socket. Drag machine out onto the floor, remove back and top cover. Next check the door switch and the wires leading to it, because all the power goes through the door switch. Then check for a faulty main switch. Look at where the wires attach to the timer. Burned plastic at the base of the connectors usually indicates a burnt out internal switch in the timer if its an electromechanical type. If its an electronic machine, check main control board for additional fuses.
