Thomson TV 27LCDB03B?

Hi,
Have some tear lines across the top of my Thomson LCD TV. They are not single line (as I would expect from a dead LCD ??), but vary in height across the screen. The lines appear to change (a little) depending on the displayed pictures content. They have gradually got worse over a period of time, and are now really annoying.
There are pictures at :

These also show another problem I have had since we bought the TV (way back in 2003??) - a vertical bar down the right of the screen, but only visible when displaying a very wide screen picture - so not noticeable on normal TV viewing - hence why we ignored it :-O.
Any advise would be welcome and I am more than willing to replace components if it turns out to be dried caps etc. - if someone can suggest which to replace.
Thanks
Graham

In case anyone else needs to know what this problem was.
I dismantled the TV more fully - and removed the complete panel assembly this time. The LCD itself has the lines right across it - so it looks like a dean LCD panel :-((.
Time for a new TV I guess....
