HP Pavillion Desktop: How can I repair my power supply fan?

My power supply fan seems to be off-balance and makes a terrible racket when I turn on my system. Is there a way to fix that or does it need to be replaced? If second option is necessary, how do I replace it?

Depending on what HP PC you have, changing a PSU on a HP can be quite tricky. But sounds like the ball bearing have gone on the fan, so you would need to replace the whole PSU unit to rectify the fault.

You need to change the complete PSU. They are very easy to change. Just a few cables and screws.
